At the close of U.S. stocks on Monday, the Dow Jones Industrial Average initially closed up 0.6%, the S&P 500 rose 0.5%, and the Nasdaq rose 0.47%, the latter two hitting record closing highs. Tesla fell 1.8%, Apple rose 2%, Microsoft, Meta, and Netflix all hit record highs during the session, closing up less than 1%. The Nasdaq China Golden Dragon Index closed down 0.49%, and Shell fell more than 4%.
